Our Qualifications

Haynes L. Kendall, Jr., CFP® is a Certified Financial Planner and a Registered Investment Advisor with over 30 years of experience in the financial services profession. He is also registered with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Inc. as a General Securities Principal. Haynes is a Registered Securities Representative with Independent Financial Group, LLC, a member of FINRA/SIPC.

Haynes is a co-host of "The Financial Advisors" radio series heard throughout Southern California on New Radio AM 600 KOGO. In addition, he is part of the Financial Designs, Ltd. network of Personal Financial Advisors.

Haynes has completed advanced studies in the area of retirement planning, estate planning, taxation, portfolio analysis as well as planned giving and received his certification as Certified Financial Planer® from the American College for Financial Planning. Haynes is a Planned Giving Specialist and is a member of the Financial Planning Association. 

Haynes is the Co-Author of the text Living & Learning:  Achieve Retirement and Education Security focusing on retirement and education security. This text is the result of Haynes being selected from amongst 43 experienced Financial Planners and Estate Planning Attorneys.  As a contributing author Haynes was asked to provide the editor of the text a list of the most commonly asked questions from clients.  Living & Learning is an easy to read book set up in Question & Answer format and should provide the reader an excellent source of information regarding retirement and education planning.

Haynes received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism and Business from the University of South Carolina. Serving as a Naval Aviator he obtained the rank of Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy. Haynes received the Vietnam Service Medal while aboard the aircraft carrier, USS Constellation.

Haynes resides in Fallbrook, CA with his wife, Arlene. He is active in youth baseball programs as a team sponsor and coach. Haynes also plays baseball for the San Diego County Men's Senior Baseball League.
